Jingle Bell Jack
I promised a picture of the Jingle Bell Jack book. We don't have it anymore, so I "borrowed" one from an eBay listing. I don't have the original book because when my son said he didn't like it my mom tore it in half and threw it away. I think she should have burned the pieces and then chopped up the ashes in the blender before throwing them
away. Is that the most hideous clown you have ever seen, or what? There is nothing entertaining about that clown. Every picture in the book is just as evil looking. I think I'm having flashbacks right now. A little whimper just slipped out and my hands are shaking.
She did good to throw it away. It was just twenty years too late to save my sanity. Then on top of JingleHell Bell Jack, later in life I read and then watched Steven King's "It". It's a miracle I haven't taken hostages at a circus or carnival.
A clown chased me through a Home and Garden Show once. Purple hair, big yellow flapping shoes and that evil grin.... running full speed toward me. I squealed like a little girl and turned and ran as fast as my legs would carry me in the other direction.
They didn't carry me as fast as you might think. I was 42 years old with bad knees. I even considered for a moment that I might turn and fight but then I thought I heard the sound of jungle bells.
People are weird.... they make a big deal when a grown man runs from a clown, they point and laugh and hold their children up over their heads. I suppose they want the little tykes to get a good view of the "running of the clowns" so they will have incentive to run faster when their time comes. I got my revenge though before the day was over. I found a booth at the show that sold Hand drawn cartoons signed by the artist. I bought a drawing of a bunch of bulls in a corral at the rodeo. One bull says to the bull next to him, "Get the clown, pass it on" Surely I am not the only one that cheers the bull on at the rodeo when it is chasing the clowns.

I think Jingle Bell Jack was so terrifying because he was a FOREIGN clown. He probably had a cow that looked like this creepy fellow.
