RW + LW

Three more days of vacation. The first eight went by at the speed of light... I hope we can stretch these last three out. We only take one week of vacation each year, and let me tell you... that is not enough.

We usually have a big project of some kind, but not this year. We just kicked back and relaxed and spent some time together. Last year our project was to take the week and finish the remodel of the bedroom. We finished about ten months later. Well, we really aren't finished because we haven't built the headboard for the bed or the pedestal for the bed. DG didn't even push me to do that this vacation. Maybe because it was about 30° most days.

Have I told you lately how wonderful it is to be married to the girl of your dreams? Well, everyday I wake up and thank the Lord for DG. I would be lost without her. To spend time with her is a joy. We can talk, work or just hangout together, and all that after being married for about 14 years.

I don't really know for sure how long it has been (it's a running joke, DG has actually pulled the marriage licence out of the safe before to find out how long we have been married). The length of time is not important. I just know that I have been in love with her since the day I first met her. It seems like yesterday and at the same time it seems like we have been together all our lives... at least it feels that way to me. I hope it feel that way to her.

She finishes my sentences, which is a good thing because more times than not I forget what I was going to say.

She walks between me and the candy at Walgreens.

But most importantly she is next to me every morning when I wake up and every night when I go to sleep.

Oh, and she is there in the middle of the night when I snore. I know this because she puts her hand over my nose and mouth until I turn over.
