Breast Painting And Power Feeding
Sometimes I start thinking about something and I just can't stop till I learn all about that subject. Or until the lithium kicks in which ever comes first. Some people would call that being inquisitive.
Mental health workers tend to use the word fixated, but what do they know. I was reading a blog and the subject of the day was choosing a breast pump. I began thinking about it and became more and more intrigued. So the search began.
I had no idea that there were so many choices when it comes to removing the "Mom Magic" from the natural container. I have had very little experience with this subject because mom had some health issues when I was born and I didn't breast feed. This could explain some of my "fixations". I guess you could say I have no mameries to draw from.... No mater how you might try you just can't make up for the loss of that "attachment" with breasts when your young. That's not to say you should stop trying.
So anyway there are hundreds of different makes, models and types of breast pumps and accessories.
By far the best in my opinion is:
This is the Ferrari of breast pumps. After reading the instructions I have determined that it was designed by NASA. You will need a co-pumper just to get through the check list. It can double or single pump, has a cool bag and all the following features:
- Pump In Style Advanced breast pump with 2 Phase Expression pumping in a stylish black microfiber bag
- Let-down mode: Simulates your baby’s initial rapid suckling to initiate faster milk flow.
- Expression mode: Simulates your baby’s slower, deeper suckling for maximum milk flow in less time
- Feels more like your baby than any other retail pump
- Customized pumping with adjustable speed and vacuum control
- Removable cooler carrier
- Removable motor unit
- Double pumping accessory kit
- Manual breast pump
- Cooling element
- AC adapter
- Battery Pak with soft cover for pumping anywhere, anytime
- 4 collection containers and lids
- 2 container stands
- Breastfeeding Information Guide
- Free breast pumping accessory samples
- It's all in the bag .
Almost makes it sound like a sport utility vehicle..... I wonder if it comes in all wheel drive????
Plus the added advantage of being available online at Target.
There is also a vehicle "lighter" attachment although I don't recommend double pumping while
driving, unless you use the winner of the best breast feeding accessory contest which is the Easy Expression Hands Free Breast Pump Bra/Bustier. This has got to be the greatest invention of all time for the the breast feeding mom on the go. Slip into this little ditty. Strap on the backpack pump and you can hit the road. Big meeting with the regional managers? No problem, just charge up the batteries drop the baby at the sitters and your on your way. When you get to the meeting just switch from battery power to the wall plug and you are ready to make that presentation. It is important to note that the pump does not interfere with the
operation of a projector or wireless pointing devices.
But we are talking about really big bucks.... more than $300 for the pump and $31.99 for the bra. I think the cheaper way to go is to go to Lowes and buy a couple Wagner Power Painters and reverse the polarity on the motors and your fixed up for less than $120.00. Plus when the baby gets older you can change the polarity back and he or she can help you paint the house. If you crank the power all the way up you won't even need the bra to hold them on...
